John
Marples has 38 years of experience in marine surveying and is certified by
the National Association of Marine Surveyors (NAMS) and a member of
the American Boat and Yacht Council (ABYC). He is also recognized
by the world sailing community for his work designing sea-going
multihulls, as author of numerous magazine articles, and as a
boat building instructor for WoodenBoat School. His experience
includes more than 30,000 blue water miles, including five
Pacific Ocean crossings, in command of racing, cruising, and
delivery vessels. His mechanical engineering degree from
California State Polytechnic University qualifies him to assess
the structural integrity of any vessel.
You will find him to be professional, knowledgeable and willing
to help in any way possible.
John is
qualified to offer the following services on sail and power
vessels up to 64 feet:
Full survey with report, vessel in or out of the water
Preliminary purchase survey, with or without report
Consultation, vessel condition and/or modification Appraisal, for
purchase or insurance
Vessels will be visually inspected to the following standards:
